The Large, mature, almost evergreen trees attract myriad bird species from several sunbirds to various hornbills, including the spectacular trumpeter, and the garden boasts the only breeding record in Botswana of the magpie manikin. The perimeter fence is visited almost daily by breeding herds of elephants and frequent buffalo. Impala and kudu are also commonly encountered, with seasonal herds of the beautiful sable antelope.
